This is made up of three key activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delivery route definition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Workload calculation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Productivity management, including planning and reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delivery route definition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DMS requires measures of the following route parameters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delivery distance (both street line and off street distance)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dead distance (where there is no physical address point)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Number and type of delivery points<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terrain characteristics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Workload calculation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DMS accurately determines hours of work, encompassing inside processes and outside delivery, for each postal route. The calculations take account of the dynamic relationship between volume and route variability.
